Earth Day 2011 – a day intended to inspire awareness and appreciation
for Nature and the Environment.
We can all make Earth Day Everyday!

Here are some easy things to do on a consistent basis that will truly help our planet:

• Recycle your glass & plastic.

• Recycle your junk mail and newspapers.

• Donate or give away your magazines.

• Bring reusable shopping bags to the store.

• Turn off water while brushing teeth.

• Stop using bottled water.

• Switch your lightbulbs to CFL bulbs.

• Just turn off the tv, lights, etc. when you leave a room.

• Wash clothes in cold water.

• Stop using paper and plastic cups.

• Walk when possible.

• Plant a garden.

• Plant some trees.

• Eat Vegetarian. Stop eating abused, murdered animals.

Get outside, take a walk and get inspired by the true beauty that surrounds you! Enjoy the Day!

 

Don’t Buy a Real Bunny ~ Make Mine Chocolate!

Sadly, unwanted former Easter rabbits are a problem for virtually all rabbit rescues, humane societies, and animal welfare organizations. The goal of the “Make Mine Chocolate!™” campaign is to STOP impulse purchases of rabbits for Easter gifts!
Buy a chocolate bunny instead of a real one!!!
The novelty will fade out very quickly. A rabbit needs a lot of care!

My kids and I had adopted a rescue bunny in such a pitiful state. “Bunni” was obviously very neglected and her fur was almost gone. The pet rescue site didn’t think she would make it. We took her home anyway and nursed her back to health. She had the run of our house, but we quickly learned she needed to be in her house when we weren’t in the same room! LOL She became a member of our family and we all loved her dearly. We don’t know how old she was, but the remainder of her life was very happy. She and our rescued cat got along incredibly and were best friends!

This time of year I always think of her, and yes, we all still miss her.

We Reopened Today!

Wow, we were flooded out again – Same time as last year! Lost a lot of our new inventory. Had to close during clean-up but we were able to reopen this afternoon! Anyone who has ordered in the last 2 weeks, we WILL be answering your emails within the next 24 hours!

Well, I finally made it here…

I have gotten so many emails over the years, asking me where’s my blog!

Well, with the kids almost grown now, I feel I now have some time to devote to this. Anyone who knows me, will tell you when I create a project, I must be able to give 100% to it.

Now is that time.
